Happy Birthday Uncle C!

Dear Uncle C,

You are the best uncle ever!  If it weren’t for you, I’d be living in a moldy, gross, unsafe house.  Thanks to you, my room is painted & I can’t get into the kitchen cabinets to throw everything on the floor anymore!  Hmm….well maybe not thanks for that, but you really are the best!  You always play with me when you come over, and you got me the best birthday present ever!  Lately, I make Mommy put it on her head & I think it is hilarious!  I am so happy I got to stay up late and go out with everyone for your birthday.  I think I might make Mommy’s life hell today because I usually don’t stay up until 11pm, but she told me it is all worth it for you!  Dinner was so yummy & your dessert was delish!

I love you very much and I think you should come visit with your bike and take me with you!

I hope you have a very very happy birthday & I can’t wait to celebrate lots more birthdays with you.  Make some good wishes & I hope they all come true!

Happy Birthday Grand Aunt G!!!

Dear GrandAunt G,

I am so lucky to have such a great person as my Aunt.  Even though we don’t see you all the time, every time I got to hang out with you I’ve had a blast!  Coming to your house to visit was one of the best vacations!  I especially liked when all those crazy adults were dancing like nut jobs in your living room!  Oh – and I had a fantastic time keeping Mommy & Daddy up all night there!  So Fun!  I hope they take me to see you again soon!  I also hope that you have the happiest birthday!  You deserve all your wishes to come true!  I hope your day is great and full of fabulous things!!!

Happy Birthday Auntie S!

On Friday it was Auntie S’s 30th Birthday!  She came up to NY and on Saturday we had a little party with the family at my dad’s house.  It was so nice to see her on her special day & A had the best time playing with her Aunties, Gramma, Grampa, cousins, etc etc….

Here are some highlights of the day!

I hope you had the best birthday weekend ever.  I’m so happy you came to celebrate with us & that I got to spend so much time with you.  I had the best time swimming and especially going to the beach with you.  You are so much fun to play with and always bring me great presents!  I hope I get to come to Florida to see you soon!  I hope you have the best 30th year ever.  My mom says that it’s not so bad being 30!  I love you so much!!!!!!

Dear E,

We wish you the happiest birthday ever!  You’re the best!  You let me play with all of PD’s things, you carry me around when I get jealous that you’re holding PD, you feed me very yummy food, you let me play with that singing bunny my mom thinks is creepy…and so much more!  Thanks for always having patience with me even when my mommy doesn’t!  I think I should thank you for walking with mommy and me on the boardwalk, but the part of me that hates that stroller and hates being strapped in wants you to never walk with her again!  I wish I could make you a pretty cake like you made me for my birthday…maybe I’ll try!

I hope you have a great year & I can’t wait to spend the summer playing with you and PD!

I just was hanging around my Dashboard today & happened to notice that people found my blog by searching for certain “terms”.  Today’s search was “Bedroom with edgecomb grey walls” which is nice.  Someone found my walls 🙂  Then I saw yesterdays.  “Pregnant young girls” – hmmmm.  Is it sad that I got a little excited when I thought that someone google’d “young girl” and found ME?!?!  Turning 31 will do things to a girl!

Turning 31…

Every year of my life until he left it, my Poppy asked me “SO….how does it feel to be “#”?”  He was almost always the first to call me on my birthday and this made me think about how it felt to get older every year.  Every year I answered “The same as yesterday”.  Its still pretty much true except for 1 change.  I didn’t do a countdown this year.  Not because I am afraid of being 31, but because my baby girl is so nutty and funny that she distracted me!  DISTRACTED FROM MY OWN BIRTHDAY????  If you know me, you know how unlikely that is, but its true!  I put so much energy into her birthday that I didn’t truly realize how close our special days are!!  Last year I was not sure how I was going to get around comfortably since I had just had a C-section.  This year I am not sure how I am going to get a chance to stop running around chasing A for a minute!!!  I’ve listed many times in this blog how I love all the amazing people in my life.  I am a lucky girl.  I can’t wait to see what 31 brings me.

I want to wish a very happy birthday to my twin cousin.  SM, you’re a great twin…even though for years you reminded me how you were older and more mature than I was.  Guess what old man…boy does it feel great to be younger than someone today!  I wish you all the happiness today and every day.  May all your wishes come true and may 31 be your best year yet!

I am looking forward to a day with the family & then cake with some good friends 🙂

I can’t wait until Cousin S calls me to sing Happy Birfday to youuuuuuuuuu … to me!

I also can’t wait for this face to wake up and smile at me.

That is the best present ever.  (Hey other LK…if you read this, that was figurative…I love diamonds too.  Or an Ipad.  Or my desk redone…but use the other ideas for Mother’s Day and the anniversary k!)
