Happy first Thursday of 2012 everyone! It has been faaaaaa-reezing here in NY the past few days. So cold that all the tires in my car needed air, we can’t leave the house without full winter gear, and I certainly can’t leave the house with wet hair – so we’re keeping this short so I can shower & dry my hair before dance class this morning! Here we are, smiling before we jump in the car to warm up!

Tonight is our Hannukah Party #1…we’re looking forward to a night filled with family, friends, laughs, latkas & lots of presents!

Last Thursday my family took a trip to California for a family Bar Mitzvah. It was awesome! Haha. Well – the Bar Mitzvah was, and overall the trip was interesting. Its always interesting with my family…BUT…we left early in the day on Thursday the 8th…so we missed Auntie H’s 25th birthday here on LKSquared. A wanted to get her letter out to her Auntie H this week though…

I love you. Thanks for giving me the best cousins ever. Thanks for giving me lots of hugs and kisses. Not thanks for always telling me I’m stuck in elevators though. I hope you had the happiest birthday on the airplane with us! Cousin S, Mommy, Daddy & I had a great time with you! Even though we really didn’t sleep. I love you so much and hope we see you soon … remember you promised S that you’d come to my house soon!

Happy Thursday! Today Miss A & I are going to go to dance class to shake it up & then we’re braving the city to do some shopping…wish me luck, I’ll need it! Why can’t Long Island have a ZaraKids?!
Its cold…very cold…I’m not so sure how it got to be 37 degrees when just 3 days ago we were here…
No jackets…and now A is refusing her winter coat in favor of this pink vest. Warm enough for 65-70…yes, but for 37….we need a coat!!!! Fun times!

Miss A…you are far away from us, having a fun time in Florida with Grandma and Auntie S. While you’re away, I am getting to do all of the things that I need/want to do that are so hard when you’re in tow! I have been to Ikea, to the mall, out to lunch, out to dinner, the house is super clean, and by the time you get home, all the laundry will be done. All of those things being done feels so good, but nothing will be better than seeing your pretty face running to me when I pick you up at the airport! I miss your hugs. I miss your laugh. I miss your strong will & determined nature. I love you every single minute of the day, even when you’re not here. This vacation has been really relaxing so far, but I miss you like CRAZY. Daddy and I just sit at night and talk about how much we miss you!

Today has been a great day. We had dance class, followed by a fun playdate with our dance friends. I wish this photo was taken today, but it was taken the other day when A decided she wanted to have a Mommy&A Dance Party…but no dance party is complete without wearing her tutu!
Instead of this, her photos from today are un-publishable. Since she decided to be naked all afternoon. During her playdate. Absolute REFUSAL of her diaper.
Sometimes you have to pick your battles moms….today I wasn’t willing to fight. Might have been because her naked tushy is SO FREAKING CUTE!!!!
