3 Little Baby Girls…All In A Row…

It hasn’t been many times that we’ve been able to wrangle our 3 girls and get them to sit for a picture…

But when we do…it is always perfection.  These 3 perfect girls are the reason that I live and breathe.  They might make us crazy but hearing them squeal and giggle and laugh so loudly we think someone is crying…makes it all worth it!

Thank You For Being A Freind…

One of the best friends a girl could ask for.  Auntie S2 took my day, which started out dark and tired and cranky and sick and made it bright and happy and so very thankful.  There’s something about this…

the note…the thought…the friend.  Everything about this made me smile.  It is amazing to know that when I’m sad and lonely and haven’t slept in way too long…Auntie S2 is thinking of me & reminding me that I can get through it!

Thanks for the goobers of flowers.  I love you!

Party + Party = Present Overload

This holiday season brought lots of parties to the LK house.  Perhaps it was a result of the fact that 1 year ago we were living with my mom while the house was undergoing some updates.  Perhaps it was a result of the fact that once we moved in, we were terrified that the ants were going to carry everyone away if we invited them in.  Whatever the reason, this year was the year of the PARTY!

We had to have 2 parties.  Party #1 was on night #3 & was soooo much fun!  Here’s a look.  Warning…this post is crazy full of photos & might take a really long time to load!

Lots of friends and family! (and this isn't even half of them!)

A playing with Uncle C! How happy does she look? Silly girl!

1 phone isn't good enough....she's hoarding Auntie E's phone in her pocket too!

PJ Time! Just lounging in her new sleeping bag from Cousins J,D,I,R,&B while checking out her new coloring placemat from Auntie E!

A's sitting on Mommy's Hanukkah present from night 3! Love my new stool! Thanks Daddy!

Best pre-bedtime ... belly laughs with Auntie E!

Party 2 photos coming soon!

Happy Birthday Little Miss O!

Dear Little Miss O,

You are so adorable!  Now you are not a baby, I guess I will not be rocking you to sleep anymore, but I promise to try to always be gentle with you anyway!  I hope that in this next year I can come to more music classes with you & you can show me the ropes, and that we get to play in your new house & backyard because that seems like fun!  Thanks for inviting us to your birthday party!  It was lots of fun & the building has a great lobby for running like a lunatic!  I know how 1st birthday parties can be…very overwhelming, and I hope you had a good time at yours!  And that the cake was good – my mommy didn’t let me eat any since I’m a nutjob and didn’t need any more sugar that day!!!  Lets eat cake together soon k?!

Love,

Miss A

Birthday Girl!!!

Week of Thanks…Day 6

Today…I am thankful for 65 degree days in November, Clark Street park with PD, & her Daddy’s magic wine…oh yea, and yummy dinner…within walking distance!

Today was amazing.  We spent the first half of the day playing in the park with PD & the end of the day drinking RD’s magic wine & eating his delicious food with our friends.  The best part is that we were able to WALK to their house & WALK home!!!!  After such a feast, it felt good to walk home…and it might have been the wine, but the night was absolutely magnificent!  Perfect…Fall…Baby sleeping in the stroller weather!

Happy Birthday & Anniversary Wishes From Afar!

So, A is OUT OF TOWN!!!!!!!

She’s left on a jet plane, but I do know when she’ll be back again….on Monday!  As in … a week … baby free … and I’m enjoying myself so far!  She left with a little croupy cough thing, but according to Grandma, she’s behaving well & that is way more than I could have hoped for!

She knew that she was leaving & wouldn’t be around to wish our good friend RD a happy birthday today so she left this note & told me to post it for her today!

Dear RD,

I hope you had a very happy birthday and that my BFF PD helped you celebrate all day!  I know you will miss me on your birthday but I promise to give you hugs & dance with you  when I get back!

Love,

Miss A

Also, today is a very special day for some other very special people.  Our friends the G’s in NC were married 3 years ago today.  At about this time 3 years ago, we were dancing & singing & eating delicious cake with them…and celebrating a beautiful couple.  I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again…if it weren’t for my friend RG meeting this amazing girl & marrying her, bringing her into my life, I don’t know how I would have survived this long!  You help me get through everyday, even if you live super far away.  You’re an amazing friend & the best wife for RG.  He is amazingly lucky.  R, you’re also perfect for AG & she’s lucky too….but most of all I’m lucky to have you guys as such great friends!  We are all wishing you a happy anniversary & many many many more!!!!

Look how beautiful they are!

Photo Albums…

Our friend E is really amazing at keeping up with her photo albums.  I have a hard enough time keeping up with this blog!

Back in the earlier part of the summer, E, PD, A & I took a girls trip to the Long Island Children’s Museum & I was the only one with a camera!  I have finally gotten around to tweaking the photos (since my camera is broken & all the photos need exposure adjusting!) & I will be printing the photos for E to put in her album.  I will continue to slowly load them to a photo book since I just can’t get my photo album act together!

These girls do a lot together…

Making music is just a little of their fun they have!

Embrace the Camera Thursday 10.13.11 & A few Happy birthdays!

Here’s another shot from our fun afternoon at the beach!

Mommy & her kiddos!

We are celebrating 3 birthdays today!  Cousin A, Auntie S2 & Puppy B.

Dear Cousin A,

I know we don’t see you too often because you like to be home a lot, but I really love you so so much and when we do see you we always have the best time!  You are a great cousin & always share your toys with me…unlike your sister!  I’m looking forward to growing up with you & making our mommies insane…driving them crazy like we did in the restaurant the other day!  I really can’t wait to go on our family trip to California with you!  Auntie H – you MUST TAKE COUSIN A!!!!!  I wish you the happiest birthday & hope that your 2nd year is as good to you as mine has been to me!

Love Always,

Baby A

A moment of sanity in a night of chaos!

Dear Auntie S2,

I am so happy that I got to see you recently when you brought Cousin CJ to NY.  I had a great time playing with you & I hope we see you again soon!  I know that CJ snuggling with you will make this your best birthday ever & I told her to be extra good for you today, so I hope she listened!  I love you very much & wish you a very happy birthday!

Love Always,

Baby A

A baby is the best birthday gift!

Dear Puppy B,

You’re a cute dog & we love you!  You’re insane and I’m not sure how you’ve lasted so long in Auntie H’s house, but my cousins love you & so do I!  I hope you have a very happy birthday and the girls give you lots of treats!

Love,

Baby A

Sunday Funday…with a chainsaw, 5 kids, 2 dogs, 6 adults, some football, a BBQ & a skillet cookie!

Sounds like fun huh?!

Well, remember hurricane pear tree debacle that was thisthis?  Well we can add the following to the end of that story…

Mister LK pulling up the stump

Ahhhh no more tree!

The boys actually got that thing out with the combination of a chain saw, a jigsaw & a jeep!  They felt very cool to be able to use the jeep to pull the stump up and out!  I can’t wait to get the Mister on the project of a new trex deck out there (with a wading pool)!!!!

Then we took a little rest & went over to J&D’s house to play, have a BBQ & watch football.  The kids had a blast!

Remember when I said yesterday that Miss A loves her a good hoola hoop?!  Well she was practicing overtime at her cousin’s house!

Then she moved on to the jump-rope!

Little M had other ideas for fun activities that afternoon!Like riding his Daddy's shoulders! And sweeping!

He also thought it was a good time to check out some 3D stuff in his cool glasses!

The babies weren’t the only ones having fun that day!  The bigger kids found fun things to do too!  The girls enjoyed their afternoon making “chalk dust”…which I’d never seen done before.

I thought they might want to paint with it…and they did…but their canvas of choice was strange…

Yup!  The dog!  *Don’t worry – no animals were harmed in the making of this fun day!*  We didn’t let them paint the dog with chalk…and we didn’t let the dog paint herself either!

Mr. IP thought it would be fun to be an attack child…

Or maybe he was pretending he was on a row-boat….who knows!  He obviously thought it was funny.

Pre-Dinner snack of goldfish!!

This day also marked my little girl’s very first 20 minute temper tantrum.  For the day she looks back on these posts to see her “firsts” I’d like to point out that this tantrum was over a Capri Sun.  I don’t really give A juice ever.  She drinks water like it’s going out of style & she eats like a champ so I just don’t see the need for juice…but the big kids were having Capri Sun & A wanted one…BAD…we had to leave the table & sit inside for 20 minutes until she calmed down…then we had to hide the juice packs when she came back out!  Fun times A…thanks.

We came inside after dinner & got into PJs & had some dessert!  It is all about moderation…and since I saved her from having pure sugar for dinner, I gave her some cupcake!

Not that most of it got in her belly – more like her eye!

For the adults, AG & I made an ooey gooey chocolate chip skillet cookie!  Super easy to make and really delish!

By the end of the night the little ones were exhausted & A thought she’d help her mommy out after getting sort of cleaned up … probably giving me a hint that she’d appreciate me stopping to take pictures about now!

Thanks to the P family for such a fun day!  We’re looking forward to picking apples/pumpkins with you guys this weekend!!!

Tiny Dancers….

It is no question that my little girl is equal parts Daddy & Mommy…masculine & feminine…leather & lace…you get my point.  She loves football, dirt & playing with balls (stop it…she’s a baby…)  But her girly side is coming through LOUD AND CLEAR!  She loves shoes, jewelry & DANCING!

We signed A up for her very first dance class!!!  She’s in the class with 2 friends, Miss SG & Miss IO.  There’s not too much cuter than these little girls in their tutus!

Here's Miss SG hydrating before class starts!

This is Miss IO showing off her accessories!

3 tutu tushies!

Pretty girls taking a rest!

She'll use anything as a necklace!

SG is the ultimate girly girl!

Looking all innocent!

Hoola Girl!

Takin' a break!

She's taking gymnastics next!

After dance stretching!

For now, this is more of a “play” class than any actual dancing, but I guess we can’t expect too much from 18 month olds!
