Bris Baby…

My nephew Baby H is going to love me…he is going to adore me…he is going to think I am the coolest Auntie ever…until he finds this post 😉  He’s gonna really want to kill me that day!  Good thing once that passes, he’ll love me again!

The bris was beautiful…Grandma R & Grandpa M made a lovely brunch.  If anyone is wondering how we kept Miss A quiet and out of the mohel’s way….well it’s pretty simple with this girl…

Give the girl her games and movies on the IPad and she’s usually an angel!  Even if we had to listen to Beauty & The Beast in the background!

I can’t wait to see this little man next weekend!

The Jersey Shore Can’t Handle This Girl!

More fun pics from our trip to NJ this weekend.  We didn’t get pictures of our all day playdate with Mister J since it was so freaking hot outside Saturday that I was in the pool from 10am until about 5pm.  I think next year I’m going to save up for a waterproof camera because these kids are really adorable in the pool & I’d love to capture that!

Once we got out of the pool though, Miss A decided it was time for a jumping dance party on Grandpa’s outside sofas!

What you can’t tell in these photos (hopefully!) is that she is not wearing pants….or a diaper…fun times dancing 1/2 naked!

This is what T thought of the party!  He was in heaven with all this heat!

Sunday we had “project” day thanks to Auntie H.  We made paintings & did tye dye!

Grampa H took us out for a ride on the boat too…I know A loves boats…and Cousins A & S seemed to love it too!  Cousin A is a no fear kind of kid.  The fasted and more dangerous the better!

And again…This was T’s day….

It is really nice to be able to take A to the pool in the backyard, but my favorite part is having a fenced in yard where T can enjoy his days outside in the sun…he is a really good boy and he deserves to enjoy his summers since we make him deal with NY winters!

Cousins!

Cousin S has gotten so big…and all of a sudden she thinks she’s a Victoria Secret Swimsuit model….every time I took out the camera…I got this…

I finally had to tell her to just smile 😉

And Cousin A2 was giving S some competition with the posing…

The next picture has me freaking out…which I tend to do when one of the kids looks IDENTICAL to their mom…but this time, A2 is a spitting image of Grandma…if any family who knew Grandma when she was little is reading this (or anyone who has seen the painted portrait of my mom as a little girl that used to live in Grandma A’s dining room)…you can feel free to tell me if you think I’m wrong…but I don’t think I am!

We took some official “newborn” photos earlier today of my little man Baby H.  I think I’ll be taking a few more before I leave, but these are 2 I got before he was starving & screaming (an hour before he was scheduled to be!)

I can’t wait to see what this boy is really made of!  He just keeps on getting cuter…

He’s got those little infant smiles that warm your heart…he’s got cheeks to die for and I don’t think they’ll shrink anytime soon since his appetite is ahhhhh-mazing.

Baby H came home on Friday.  Here is Florida they only keep you in the hospital 3 days after a c-section.  That seems like such a short amount of time to me!  I stayed for 5 days.  Auntie S has had lots of help at home so I think she’s doing great….and I know that Baby H is getting just as much attention, if not more at home than in the hospital…and he sure looks cute in his new duds!

And on Friday, Baby H finally got to meet his Auntie A!  This is her first time being an Auntie!!!  Very exciting 🙂

Boy Interrupted…

This week has been all about this tiny little angel boy, but I’d just like to sa that my little girl has been such a trooper.  She spent most of the time in the hospital & now she’s been at Auntie S’s house with a bunch of grown ups!  We just can’t make ourselves leave this little boy, so with all this attention being poured onto our new cousin, I was expecting A to act out.  Short of a few tantrums and some random acts of rebellion, I’m pretty shocked at how good she’s being.

First…she hid her diaper bag.  While Grandma had the car.  And she went and did this…(sorry future A, this is VERY embarrassing)

Anyone else’s kid refuse diapers, fully potty train for 2 weeks, then 100% refuse the potty and demand her diapers back???!!!  Oh…right…then go into the hospital room closet and take care of her private business while telling you to “leave me alone”?????

As I mentioned, she had hidden her diaper bag…making me think I was a bad mom & forgot it in the hotel…which was NOT true.  But we’re resourceful…and thankfully we have a brand new cousin who is a terrific sharer…

Note** Miss A wears a size 4 diaper.  Normally.  This is what a size 1 looks like on a size 4 tushie!

At this point I took A over to Grandpa & B’s hotel to spend a few hours getting some sun & sand…

The next time she was able to have some good old fashioned toddler fun was when our friend & H’s other big cousin EG came to play!  A big thanks to Uncle P for buying & blowing up the awesome hippo pool for us!

And because this blog is focused on a handsome little man who has been home from the hospital for a few days now…and I can’t get enough of him…here’s 1 for today!

A (2nd) Day In The Life … of MY NEPHEW!!!!

Oh to have the life of a newborn…not the Mommy of a newborn, definitely not a Mommy who just had a C-Section, nope, I don’t envy that part…but my gorgeous nephew has been surrounded by family who loves him like crazy & friends who think he’s pretty amazing too!  We also have been snuggling him, changing him, feeding him, and giving him tons of kisses.  That part…I’d take!

A was in the hospital from 11am to 6:30pm…she made it all day without a nap, but once her tushie hit the carseat she was muttering “I…Soooo…Tired….” and then she was sleeping. She has been sleeping ever since.  Straight through dinner at a loud restaurant. In her stroller.  In her skirt, no shirt (she spilled water all over her shirt before we left the hospital), with her shoes, covered by her blankie.  It is midnight.  She’s still in the stroller.  I should go to sleep!  Instead I’ll put up some photos of Baby H’s 2nd day of life…

Great Grandma & her Great Grandson

This woman is inspiring…I can only hope to age with as much grace and beauty as she has.  She’s witty and sweet and tells it like it is…a quality that I very much admire!  It was really beautiful to see how this little boy made her face light up!

My beautiful sister & her son.  It’s crazy she has a little baby of her own.  I just know she’s going to be a great Mommy.  She’s been doing such a great job in his first 2 days.  Childbirth is tough and painful … she’ll agree that she’s not usually the best patient, but she’s been doing really well & we are so proud of her.  We can’t wait to see them fall more and more in love every day.

I love my nephew…if you couldn’t tell…there are about 400 more pics I haven’t gotten to, but it is late & I’m going to bed…A will be up soon!

That’s right…the impossible has happened.  A boy has infiltrated our girls club and he has taken the hearts of us all!

Meet my NEPHEW!!!!  So cool…I’ve never had one of these before!!!!!

Mommy & Baby are doing great & Miss A is a delirious mess as a result of a terrible flight that got us in at 3:30am….4:30am bedtime for Miss A is less than ideal!  Pictures of her holding her new cousin Baby H coming soon…

I can’t believe we have a boy!  Although I knew it would come from Auntie S…she was always the one sister turning things upside down!  Bring on the BLUE!
